The climate for Kerrville is mild; relative humidity ranges from 20-40% for most of the year as compared to Houston or Dallas where relative humidity can be 70-90% most of the year.
The weather in Kerrville is pleasant—year-round! Mid-summer highs go up to 95 while winter lows go only as low as 35. Spring and fall both have more rain than summer and winter. In the spring, thunderstorms are common, as well as the occasional hail storm. The summers are warm, but the nights cool down nicely. Fall comes with mild days and cool nights giving way to winter usually the middle of December. Cold spells come along, but rarely last more than a few days at a time. Early morning clouds are frequent, but burn off to sunshine by mid-day.

It is a showcase for Western art and artists. The museum provides an art and history education for all ages and is housed in a spectacular facility on beautifully landscaped grounds.
The Kerr Arts & Cultural Center, housed in the old post office building in downtown Kerrville, provides a location for artists, sculptors, painters, crafters, quilters, furniture makers and so much more. The KACC experience is enhanced by ongoing workshops and exhibits from local and regional artists; educational programs for young and old alike and a gift shop that includes only items made by members of the center! Numerous art galleries and design studios dot the landscape in and around Kerrville. In fact, many visitors over the years have dubbed our community as the Heart of the Arts in the state of Texas.
James Avery Craftsman has been a part of the Kerrville landscape for over 50 years. Mr. Avery’s talent goes far beyond designing and creating jewelry as his artistic talents have been showcased in and around the Hill Country for years. One stop at their campus-setting offices in Kerrville and you’ll be hooked on the beauty and artistry of James Avery…and speaking of jewelry design, Jim Morris is a designer and crafter of handmade, original jewelry in gold, silver and platinum…in fact, Jim was commissioned to design and craft the Bishop’s Ring and Pectoral Cross for the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.
Playhouse 2000 is a local theater company that produces high quality theatrical shows throughout the year…drawing on the immense talent pool in the Kerrville and Kerr County area, P2K offers family entertainment that has been compared to some of the best theaters in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Along the same lines, the outdoor stage of The Point Theater in Ingram has been drawing families to the banks of the Guadalupe River for nighttime theatrical performances for over 50 years. Whether it’s an indoor experience at the dramatic Cailloux City Center for the Performing Arts or an outdoor evening at The Point, Kerrville and Kerr County offers more entertainment than most communities twice our size. In fact, when you include the Kerrville Performing Arts Society, Symphony of the Hills, the Hill Country Chorale, the Hill Country Youth Orchestra and other performing arts organizations, Kerrville and Kerr County provide cultural entertainment options typically reserved only for metropolitan areas.
